The Fox Valley Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution provides patriotic and community services within the following Illinois counties: DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, LaSalle and Will.
Men who are lineal descendants of patriots who fought or provided significant support for the Revolutionary War are eligible for MEMBERSHIP.

Our Chapter was founded on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 1981 at a Denny’s restaurant in Aurora, Illinois. The first officers:

On November 5, 2006, the organizing President of the Fox Valley Chapter, Jim Liptrap, spoke to the 25th anniversary banquet of the Fox Valley chapter. Read his speech. You will enjoy reviewing the interesting Yearbook for 1983 - 84.
In July 2005, the organizing President of the Fox Valley Chapter, Jim Liptrap, visited SAR headquarters in Louisville, KY to research the history of two officer positions as published in the National SAR Magazine.
